Banana & Oat Bliss Bites

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana (mashed)
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup natural peanut butter (no xylitol)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseed for an omega boost

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the banana well.
  3. Stir in the peanut butter until combined.
  4. Add the oats and optional chia/flaxseed, and mix until a sticky dough forms.
  5. Scoop small spoonfuls and roll into bite-sized balls, or flatten into mini cookies.
  6. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until slightly golden.
  8. Let cool before serving to your pup.

Storage:

Keep in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze and defrost as needed.

Homemade Peanut Butter & Pumpkin Dog Treats


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pumpkin purée (no added sugar or spices)
  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter (no xylitol)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 ½ cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for sensitive tummies)
  • Optional: ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin, peanut butter, and eggs until well blended.
  3. Gradually add the flour and cinnamon, stirring until a dough forms.
  4. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1 cm thickness.
  5. Use a cookie cutter (bone-shaped is fun!) to cut out treats.
  6. Place treats on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and firm.
  8. Cool completely before serving.

Storage:

Keep in an airtight container for up to 1 week, or freeze for longer freshness.

Kūmara & Coconut Dog Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked kūmara (mashed, skin removed)
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup coconut flour (or rice flour)
  • ¼ cup desiccated coconut (unsweetened)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon olive oil or flaxseed oil for a glossy coat

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the mashed kūmara and egg together.
  3. Slowly stir in the coconut flour and desiccated coconut.
  4. Mix until a thick dough forms. If it’s too dry, add a splash of water or more mashed kūmara.
  5. Roll into small balls or flatten and cut into shapes.
  6. Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until edges are slightly golden.
  8. Let cool fully before giving to your furry friend.

Storage:

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze to keep longer.
